Clogherhead beach is situated adjacent to the fishing village of Clogherhead in County Louth. It is home to an Irish Sailing Association school, Outdoor Education Centre and a Royal National Lifeboat Institution lifeboat - the Doris Bleasdale, a Mersey Class.

The headland affords uninterrupted views of the Cooley and Mourne Mountains 30km to the north and to Lambay Island 35km to the south. It is a popular location for all types of activities including, fishing, walking, sightseeing and water based activities. The beach has easy access to a long stretch of sand which is backed by dunes protected under the EU Habitats Directive. Clogherhead is located off the R166, south of Dundalk.

This beach is lifeguard patrolled during the bathing season. Lifeguard times can be viewed by clicking on the tab above or by checking out the information notice board at the beach.
