This beach is part of a continuous stretch of wide sandy beach from Raven Point to Ballyconigar near Blackwater. It is located approximately 10km north east of wexford town in a rural area. The village of Curracloe is located about 1km west of the bech. There are very few buildings located near the beach as a large part of the area surrounding the beach is an Area of Scientific Interest made up of a dune system stretching along the coastline backing the beach itself.

This beach is lifeguard patrolled during the bathing season. Lifeguard times can be viewed by clicking on the tab above or by checking out the information notice board at the beach.
