Beach users are asked to spend 2 minutes picking up litter when they visit the beach, take a picture of the litter collected & post it on social media with the hashtag #2MinuteBeachClean.

Beach users who are interested in caring for their local coastal environment by participating in coastal clean ups & coastal biodiversity walks / talks can join the Clean Coasts programme.

Schools who would like to learn more about Ireland’s Blue Flag beaches through a research project about a Blue Flag beach or by participating in a Blue Flag beach environmental education event.

Blue Flag & Green Coast beaches for the 2015 season receive awards. A special ceremony organised by Cork County Council will be held to launch this.  Local community groups, schools and councillors will be invited
