This is an extensive sandy beach in a rural environment. The area is rich in habitats and flora and fauna and forms part of the Castlemaine Harbour proposed Natural Heritage Area (pNHA), Special Area of Conservation (SAC) and Special Protection Area (SPA). The area also forms part of the Dingle Peninsula SPA. The beach is a sand spit jutting into the sea between Dingle Harbour and Castlemaine Harbour.
Inch beach is accessible via the R563 from Killarney, then the R561 from Castlemaine.
