Marine Ecology Day & Litter pick on the BeachThese were carried out to increase children’s awareness of Blue Flag and the beach ecosystem and conservation. Beach Activities were carried out at a number of beaches:

Blue flag and green Coast Launch daysA special awards ceremony to be held for the presentation of Blue Flag and Green Coast Awards in:
West Cork ----Roscarberry Friday 8th June
South Cork----Kinsale Friday 8th June
Local Councillors, Directors of services and interested parties are invited to carry out the presentations.

Fota Wildlife Park 6 week Summer camp

Increase awareness of different aspects of environment . 6 week summer camp courses from June to September with themes focussing on wildlife protection & pollution threats to wild life.
Teacher Training Course at the Lifetime Lab

The Teacher Training Course provides teachers with training in different aspects of environmental education projects. The course is based in Lifetime lab and includes field trips, workshops ,teaching of environmental education games, promotion of Cork County Council environmental resource material, lectures on Green schools, Blue Flag and Clean coast programmes.

Promotion of Green Coast Community & Blue Flag Certificate & Clean Coasts photography competitionIncrease awareness of Blue Flag and Green Coast programme within the locality through a Marine education day, website and also local advertising on newspapers.
